This is one of my first forays into digital painting. As you can see I didn't try to achieve anything like a "rendered" look - I love when one can see that it's painted and one can see brush strokes etc.

It was inspired by an actual place in the Austrian Alps. I used my own photograph of the site for reference. It's an overcast day. The only "trick" I used was to trace the outline of the background to save time. The peculiar looking rocks in the foreground were also there in real place.

My Idea was to give the place some mystical, magical ingredient - so I've added the dragon/grifon and warrior.
