Or: "Things you can do with Ariadne's thread"

“The Minotaur is quite tired of the never-ending onslaught of heroes trying to defeat him and make a name for themselves in the process.

The only good thing about it is that they occasionally bring useful things into the labyrinth - like glowing threads.”

I made this for a contest on another website. The topic is: "Catacombs"

I used Corel Painter X again here. I love to work with Painter since it almost feels as if I use real oil paints. When I paint I feel more like a sculptor actually, carving a 3rd dimension out or into the 2 dimensional screen. I enjoy this immensely.

Some facts about the painting: everything is brushwork, I didn't use any textures. Obviously used the "glow-brush" a lot. Didn't use any reference as such, no overpainting or anything only looked at my own legs, did a little anatomy research and looked at my own photo of a Greek helmet and a cow. All in all there were about 90 layers in the painting. It took about 4 days of intense work to complete it.

C&C are welcome of course.
